Aygun Kazimova - Honoured Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic

She was born in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, in 1971 in the worker’s family. Though her birth was unplanned, she became beloved of her family in a short time. She is the third and the last child of her family. Her father Alesker Kazim Kazimov worked in the field of railway and was a veteran of labour.

Her mother Fizza Alekber Kazimova was a housewife.

Aygun Kazimova went to school in 1978 and left the same school in 1988 with good marks.

Her father died when she was in the 9th form. And her mother died in 1993.

Having finished school Aygun Kazimova entered Musical School of Culture and Education in 1989.

She graduated from this education center in 1992.

Her work experience started many years ago. She began to work as a soloist in Baku State “Qaya” orchestra. Getting married a year later, she became mother in the age of 19, in 1990.

Her daughter Ilgara Ibrahimova was born. Because of family problems she got divorced from her husband in 1993.

Her work regime changed because of collapse of Soviet Union. She began working as a singer in different entertainment centres with short time contracts. She was awarded the name of Honoured Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic by the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Heydar Aliyev in December of 2003. At present she is bringing up her child, continuing her creative activity, and lives in Baku.
